Prince Philip

Prince Philip was married to Queen Elizabeth II for more than 73 years and was the longest-serving Consort in British history. He died on April 9, 2021, at the age of 99. Also known as the Duke of Edinburgh, he pioneered an award scheme under the same name, encouraging young people across the Commonwealth to spend more time outdoors. Considered to be the rock of the Royal Family, he provided vital support to the Queen who described him as her “strength and stay.”
