I always struggled with getting a smooth shave but my 3 steps work – don’t be afraid of my trick for bikini line & legs
UNSIGHTLY ingrown hairs and razor burns are among the biggest challenges to avoid when trying to get a smooth shave at home.
Charlene Flanagan revealed the three tricks she swears by for effortlessly removing hair from legs and bikini lines.
Flanagan founded Ireland-based cosmetics brand Ella & Jo in 2017 alongside skin therapist Niamh Ryan.
They sell everything from cleansers, and face oils, to anti-aging products.
Speaking to The U.S. Sun, Flanagan shared tips for a beautiful appearance throughout summer.

She shared the three steps she swears by for a flawless finish.
“Make sure you replace your razor frequently, it is suggested that after every three to four uses to replace your blade for the best effect,” she said.
“Don't be afraid to try men's shaving products.
“They tend to have thicker and more rich creams for beard shaving which in my opinion are better on bikini line and legs.”

Flanagan revealed the direction of shaving can have a huge impact on the end results.
“Shave in a downward stroke first and then upwards, it really helps with any sensitivity and a closer shave every time,” she said.
SO LONG, STRAWBERRY LEGS
Strawberry legs are mainly caused when hair follicles are clogged with dirt, dead skin, oil, or bacteria.
Flanagan said the condition that resembles seeds on a strawberry can be avoided by regularly exfoliating.
"Dry body brushing or using an exfoliating product will not only help with strawberry legs but will ensure your skin is smooth, glowing, and great preparation for any tanning products you may use,” she said.
Exfoliation should be done at least twice a week to lift dead skin cells that could cause tans to become patchy or uneven.
