TERRIFIFYING rage-infected humans wreaking havoc in director Danny Boyle’s 28 Days film franchise have been upstaged – by ROBOTS.
People living near the set of the post-apocalyptic horror franchise’s latest instalment tell me they have been spooked by three-legged machines.

The critters have been put in place to stop ramblers accidentally wandering on to the set of 28 Years Later on the outskirts of Newcastle.
Jodie Comer has been spotted filming in the countryside over the summer, with fans getting in touch to tell me they had a fright when walking nearby.
One said: “Danny and his team had put in really stringent security measures on the site to make sure locals didn’t just walk into view.
“The area is really eerie and remote, but it’s used by a lot of ramblers.

“It’s a vast area to cover and some walking groups were caught out by these censored robots that start shouting. It’s really loud. This group of ramblers jumped out of their skins when it happened.”
“The tapes would be funny to watch back, given the looks on their faces,” the source added.
Here’s hoping any clips of the encounters make Danny’s director’s cut . . .
We told in May how Cillian Murphy was back on board for the project, the third film in the series, after he starred in the first from 2002.

She said: “Danny just seems like such a confident, intuitive and intelligent director.
“The original was so loved, so I’m trying not to think of that too hard. I’m not putting too much expectation on myself.”

JOURDAN DUNN was in the driving seat as she joined Kate Moss for a new beauty ad campaign.
The models have teamed up with everyone’s favourite celebrity make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury to plug her Exagger-Eyes mascara.

Showing off her new-look lashes, Jourdan told us: “Embodying the ‘damsel’s not stressed’ femme fatale character to bring Charlotte’s film noir vision to life made me feel like a Hollywood screen siren.
“I was hoping Charlotte would let me keep that 1950s Cadillac . . . maybe next time.”
Mossy told how they hit the town after the shoot and she said of the make-up: “We went out dancing and it did not budge, smudge or flake.”

Crouchy's quick-step back in time
PETER CROUCH often recreates his wedding dance after he’s had a few sherbets, his wife Abbey Clancy has revealed.
The ex-footballer, famed for doing the robot, reenacts the moves he pulled in 2011 to U2’s Sometimes You Can’t Make It On Your Own.
After seeing him worse for wear at Glastonbury a few times, I can confirm he does love a good dance.
Abbey told Peter on their Therapy Crouch podcast: “It’s quite an obscure U2 song.
“After a certain amount of beers, you put our wedding song on and try and recreate our wedding dance. We do the whole song.”
Pete countered: “It’s not the end of the world, is it?
“I’m saying that I still love you after all this time. Sometimes you can’t make it on your own. I think it is getting boring. I think it’s wearing thin. But I still want to do that with you.”

Figures from Official Charts yesterday showed that Sabrina’s latest single is at the top, with her other tunes Please, Please, Please and Good Graces at No5 and No10.
Sabrina, who looked drop-dead gorgeous in this new picture she posted on Instagram, is on to a winner with the songs, taken from her new album Short N’ Sweet.
And the video for Taste is just brilliant, as the pop star took inspiration from Meryl Streep’s 1992 classic film Death Becomes Her.
Keep killing it, Sabrina. We love to see it.
Link keeps Stones rolling
PLAYING to sold-out stadiums in your eighties is quite the feat.
And Rolling Stones rocker Keith Richards said the band can still do so due to the chemistry between him and Mick Jagger.

Keith said: “Mick and I, we kind of kick each other up the a**e and ‘Oh, I like that. I don’t like that’. Whatever it is, it’s a sort of chemistry.”
Appearing on US TV, Mick and Keith, along with Ronnie Wood, told how they created their most recent album Hackney Diamonds, which went straight to No1 when it came out last October.
Mick said of writing songs together: “You have to give it a minute. You can’t be dismissive if you don’t get it in the first one minute, but you get to know in ten minutes.”
Keith added: “It doesn’t take long to know if something’s really there and whether it’s worth chasing.”
I loved every song on Hackney Diamonds, so they were worth the effort.
So good to see Lew, Niall
LEWIS CAPALDI took a break from working on his third album to catch his pal Niall Horan playing live.
A friend of mine spotted my favourite Scot in the crowd at Dublin venue the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

Insiders say the old mates had been hanging backstage before Lewis opted to join Niall’s fans to watch him.
Ed Sheeran was also in town and headed out for drinks with the pair later.
The owner of the city’s Hacienda Bar, Shay Duignan, revealed he had hosted the trio, along with James Blunt, after the show.
Sharing a snap of Ed and Niall online, he wrote: “Great to welcome Ed Sheeran and Niall Horan to the Hacienda last night.
“It was a wonderful night and it was also special to welcome James Blunt and Lewis Capaldi.”
Raye Leeds the way
RAYE put on a show to remember at the Reading and Leeds Festivals, belting out her hits in this sequined black dress.
But sadly Lana Del Rey had less luck.

The Summertime Sadness star’s set was cut off by accident by the festival’s production team.
As she hit the stage, a hideous sound clash with Aussie DJ Sonny Fodera drowned her out, with Lana asking fans: “Can you hear me through the techno?”
The answer was a resounding no . . . and her set was cut, leaving the Reading organisers having to issue a statement yesterday.
They said: “Due to an error by the Reading production team we accidentally cut Lana Del Rey’s incredible set short by five mins. We apologise unreservedly to Lana and her fans.”
