September will see a new wave of Xbox server closures.

The first closure to arrive next month is for action-RPG Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem, which loses support for online multiplayer functionality on September 3.

It appears that just the Dawn’s Healing achievement will be discontinued once the server closure hits, according to the True Achievements website.

Fortunately, this only requires you to revive a downed player in your group, which should be pretty simple to do.

Following that, the NHL 20 server closure is due to happen on September 16.

This server closure will stop 22 NHL 20 achievements, on top of the three that have already been discontinued.

Then on September 30, both the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions of WWE 2K23 will lose online support.

In effect, this server closure will mean that 13 achievements in both versions of the game will be discontinued.

Previously, EA recently announced that servers for multiple Xbox 360 Battlefield games would close in November.

EA says that it is sunsetting these games so that it can focus on its more current titles.

Elsewhere, the latest Xbox freebie is available for all Xbox console users.

Free Play Days includes unlimited game trials where you can play as much of the game as you want within the time frame.

Xbox also gives deep discounts on the games available via Free Play Days, so you can purchase them cheaply after the trial period ends.

However, this weekend is special, because while two games are only for subscribers, there is one that anyone can grab.

The highlight of this week’s Free Play Days is The Elder Scrolls Online, which is available to all Xbox players regardless of whether they are subscribed or not.

It is also not just available for the weekend, but for 10 days, and will be free from Thursday, August 8, 2024, until Monday, August 19, 2024.
