A FRUSTRATED home owner has revealed how her “selfish” neighbour’s mum demanded use of their empty parking space after their car was taken to a repair shop.
The entitled motorist quickly turned nasty when she didn’t get her own way and was eventually caught in a lie.
In a story posted to Reddit, a women wrote: “Our car was stolen in June and then returned to us at the end of July.
“It's being worked on and my husband has had to tell our neighbour’s mother who visits that she can no longer park in our parking spot.”
She explained that everything was “well and good” until she came home from running errands one day to find her neighbour’s mum asking to talk to her husband because she wanted to “extend her parking allowance” in their spot.
The woman added: “She explains she is moving into the townhouse next to us to help care for her grandkids and she sees our car as a lost cause.

“She has said that us losing our car was great so she can park closer to the townhouse and not have to park on the street.”
At this point, the entitled woman was told she could use the space until October when their car would be returned after repairs, but that she needed to make other arrangements after that.
Unfortunately, the woman didn’t take this well, with the Redditor adding: “This woman who I am assuming has no sense of reality said the chances of our car ever working is nil and that we should just give her the parking spot.”
What's more, the woman revealed that her neighbour’s mum claimed she “will just take the spot whenever she wants regardless if we get our car working or not.”

She added that she was considering “calling a tow truck” the next time the woman parks in her space.
In a later update, she wrote: “Neighbour who is the son of the woman has gotten involved and sided with us on the matter.
“He also had told his mother to park in the guest parking spots from now on or do not come here at all.
“She also lied to me about moving in (big surprise). So far I was given a blessing if she does it again to call a tow truck.”
Other Reddit users quickly chimed in, with one advising: “Make sure you get something on record of informing your neighbor or her mother that they are no longer welcome to use the spot.
“Text message, email, etc. They can, and likely will, try and make it out that you had agreed to allow their use of it and could have some way of proving that you had allowed it in the past.”
Another user wrote: “Absolutely call the tow truck the very first time she does it, and when you leave, set an orange cone in the spot (nasty note optional) lol.”
A third added: “Whether you need the space is irrelevant. It is YOURS.
“I would leave her a note on her windshield as a final courtesy notice that her car is subject to towing without warning if she parks in your space, and then follow through on the threat.”
